Leadership at Jubilee

Firstly, we should say that there are lots of people leading in lots of ways at Jubilee. We're all learning how God has called us to participate as a Body - each one with a place and role to use our God-given gifts for His glory. We have team leaders, group leaders, people giving oversight (like our launch team or our task force), and a few paid staff.

Jonathan Headley - Pastor

Jonathan has a call to pastoral ministry. Before planting this community, he worked as a youth and then associate pastor with Maple Ridge Community Church for 9 years. He has done other things before becoming a vocational pastor, including but not limited to ESL teacher, grocery store bag boy and water lily cultivator. He has a background in drama, music, and teaching. He is an engaging preacher with plenty of sound effects and a deep and vibrant walk with Jesus. One of his favourite things is seeing the Bible come alive for people in understanding and life change. He fiddles on guitar and is a song writer and passionate worshiper.  He is head over heels in love with his wife Lauren, and privileged to be father to five incredible children (Madeleine, Elijah, Gabriel, Maelle and Miriam).

Ben King - Worship Coordinator

Ben has a call to worship. He grew up in Maple Ridge and although he has a heart to travel the world over, God has called him here to serve with his many gifts in the Jubilee community. Ben has made the journey of brokenness and his walk with Jesus is a demonstration of this. He leads with humility and depth of passion that reveal his vibrant walk with Jesus. He loves people and music, and is part of a band called Daylight which has released a few great worship albums (find out more). Ben plays guitar, bass and loves to lead the gathering in musical worship. He is also a gifted preacher and gentle leader.  Ben serves with Jubilee part time and also works as an ESL teacher. We're excited to see Ben stepping out in our community.

Lauren Headley - Jubilee Kids Coordinator

Lauren has a call to leadership. Through being a teacher, mother, and intercessor, she is especially qualified and gifted to lead our important kids ministry. Lauren serves part time with Jubilee but she has been a Teacher-on-Call in our district for many years and now has a position a day a week at Eric Langton Elementary. She has a special knack for seeing the administrative detail and asking good questions. She loves Jesus with a passion of the broken heart that found joy and loves people as only a relational extrovert can. She is cherished by her husband and 5 children for being amazing at all she does.

Jubilee Task Force

As a church plant in the C2C network, our structure is a little different than most churches. We operate under the oversight of a Task Force made up of key leaders in our community and surrounding areas. Over the years to come, Task Force members will gradually be replaced by elders (who meet Biblical requirements) from within Jubilee as we raise up internal leaders with a heart and passion for our vision and mission.

Sunday Service Leaders

We are always looking to raise up people into positions of service that will help disciple and develop leaders at all levels of Christian ministry. The following people are leading in our Sunday Service Teams:
